PRIM&R's 2025 Workload and Salary Surveys (WLSS) are now open through December 22, 2025.
PRIM&R's issues two annual surveys: the IRB Administration WLSS and IACUC Administration WLSS. Each survey takes about 10 minutes, and participants get free access to the complete results.
By participating, you help create a clearer picture of what research ethics work actually looks like across different institutions, roles, and regions. The surveys cover compensation, protocol volumes, staffing levels, benefits, reporting structures, and the day-to-day realities of IRB and IACUC work.
